Tag Rugby 2013 Thank You

Well after a week to review everything and regain our mental strength its time to say a massive thank you to our sponsors TXM Recruit, Hardcore Personal Training and Grange Jaguar, also match ball sponsors Phoenix Utilities for their support.
Also Colin Farrar for the prize money for the Drop Goal competition that was a great success and i'm sure is something we will look to run next year again.
A big thank you to Bradford Zumba Belles, All Style Dance Workout and Emily & Ella for a great display at half time, hoping these ladies would like to come back next year and maybe they would also like to join us and relax at the ball on 31st August.
I hope lots of you went down to see Jack Carthy with his amazing mountain bike display, Jack is now in Poland in competition, and everyone at the trust wishes Jack all the best.

Once again on the day the weather played ball and the sun was shining on us for the day, we had 13 teams turn up out of the 16 that had registered.

Group A
Bradford Bumbles 1
Multiple Scoregasms
Smokin Hornets
Beach Bums
Faith
Comeback Kids
Missfits

Group B
Wharfedale
Bradford Bumbles 2
Headbanging Harlequins
Bradford Salem
Crazy Fools
Autotec

We had some great fancy dress from nearly every team that turned up, which made for a very colourful event, not sure I have ever seen the baby Jesus playing rugby against a banana or Mr T but it works and makes for a fun day. The games were played in good spirit thank to our referees who all give up there time for a free kit, and next year we are going to provide them with lunch as well. We know that one of our referees turned heads in the afternoon when he had to go over to Yorkshire Rugby Rocks and kept his kit on to promote the Trust. The final ended up as a re run of last years with the Morphs now known as Faith versus the Multiple Scoregasms, once again it was a hard fought final but played in great spirit, with Faith finally taking the win the retain the trophy. Faith also went on to win the best fancy dress voted for by Nathan himself, with Karl Collins one of our referees sneaking the furthest travelled trophy as on the Saturday night he was still in Norway.

Our biggest thank you must go to everyone of our volunteers on the day without them we would not have an event, I am sure you spotted them on the day in their bright pink T shirts. If you want to help out next year please let us know as the more help we have the more we can do at the event.

Once we have covered all costs we will have raised around £1,900 which is amazing and we thank each and everyone of you.

Below are photos that have been taken by friends and sent to us for the blog, I will be doing another post with the photos provided by Charlie Perry and are copy righted to Charlie.
