2013 Tagrugby sponsors

Great news this week, we have had confirmation of the event sponsors for this year.

A massive thank you to:

Grange Jaguar

Hardcore Personal Training

TXM Recruit

We have also had a signed England Rugby Union shirt, by this years squad, with a certificate of authentication, to either raffle or auction at the event.

Naomi has sent out invite packs to lots of clubs and also we have emailed lots of clubs, to see if they are interested in entering this years event. We still have some places left if you would like to enter a team, and remember there are prizes for best fancy dress and also furthest travelled team or player. Although i'm  not sure we will beat the young man who flew in from Italy last year to play.

We have also spoken with Chris Akrigg about the mountain bike display and he has been able to confirm that even though he can only do one display, Chris Doney of Zero Gravity will be providing the rig for the day and doing other displays, Chris Doney has appeared as a stuntman on the Top Gear Live tours, so something not to be missed I am sure. Nathan has looked at both Chris's websites and in his words they are mental, and he wouldn't try those stunts!! Check out some of the video's here Chris Doney, Santa Pod A Day With Chris Doney Chris Akrigg -  ,Not if, but when Chris Akrigg - Fireball

With regards to Nathan and what's happening, Sue and Matt are currently getting quotes for the extension and everything required, but we need to make this years event a big success to ensure that they are not worrying about costs ect.

If you would like to enter the Tag Rugby, volunteer or if your a referee and are free to help, please contact Mark Dunstan at either nathantagrugby@gmail.com or 07595337159, and he will be more than happy to speak to you. The same goes for anyone wanting to donate a raffle or tombola prize.

2013 Tag Rugby Update

Following a meeting on Sunday we had a great discussion with both Mongoose Mountain Bike Rider Chris Akrigg with regards the mountain bike display at the event, and also Lisa from Molly & Moss catering with regards to the food for the evening time when  we will have the great Rhythm Junkies entertaining you all.

Chris is working on getting a follow mountain bike rider who has appeared at Top Gear Live to bring his rig to the event and also appear with him, which doubles the entertainment for everyone, and is one not to be missed. For those of you who follow the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and saw Chris on the program when he fell off Cowling Pinnacle, you will know he likes to push the limits when on his bike. You can check out Chris's latest video's here http://chrisakrigg.com/. http://vimeo.com/42557564

For the evening after all those tiered bodies have had enough running around, or you just want a very good night out and support Nathan, we have Lisa and Molly & Moss Catering providing the food for the event, Nathan and Sue are working with Lisa on the choices for this. Please see join us to see the very entertaining Rhythm Junkies tickets including supper will cost £5.00 and can be purchased from all members of the event team, and we will make them available through other sources too.

For all teams wishing to enter, we need your entrance forms as soon as possible to allow all the planning to be completed as soon as possible. Further details can be found here enter-tag-rugby-event or Tag Rugby Registration Form

Another busy week

Wow what a week yet again!

We have had it confirmed this week that Chris Akrigg mountain bike stunts rider will be attending the 2013 Tag Rugby event and doing a display. For those of you who follow the Yorkshire Air Ambulance programme Helicopter Heroes, you may remember Chris from his accident at Cowling Pinnacle. Chris is now Recovered and riding for team Mongoose, you can check out his website and video's here http://chrisakrigg.com/ .

The final plans have also been received for the extension to the house, which will make so much difference to not only Nathan but all the family, as Nathan will have his own bedroom, wetroom and living room, so no more COD in the front room is what Sue, Matt and Naomi are hoping for!!!

Unfortunately despite a 2nd application to DIY SOS we have not heard anything from them, so due to the costs ect, it looks like it is going to be down to Matt and the funds that can be raised to get the extension built.

Nathan has also purchased a classic VW Beetle and took delivery of that last Sunday, a new project for him, and I'm sure his dad and Uncle Joe down at Autotech. Great to see him keeping using all the mechanic skills he has picked up previously.

A massive thank you need to be said this week too to all that attended the West Yorkshire Rugby Under 18's V Sweden last weekend, who raised £75 for the Nathan Cubitt Trust fund, please find details here http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/westyorkshirerugby/news/thanks-for-supporting-the-swedish-tourists-867244.html

We are looking to hold a meeting next Sunday the 10th March at Keighley Rugby Union Club, to discuss the 2013 Tag Rugby, and the planning for the event, if your free and would like to be involved or have ideas for us, please join us. We are thinking of starting at 11:30 but depending on match timings this may move so please check out Nathan's twitter account or his Trust Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/nathan.cubitttrust .
