Bike Ride & Tag Update

Some friends of a Craig Labbett who works with Nathan's mum have decided to do a bike ride, which they had initially said would be for Nathan, but after speaking to Nathan is now going to be for the Matt Hampson Foundation as another thank you for all the support they have given Nathan they sent the details below.

A group of my friends from Haworth & Oakworth will be doing a coast to coast cycle ride on 25 June from Whitehaven to Whitley Bay and have chosen to raise funds and awareness for Matt Hampson Foundation. We were all in agreement to support the charity which has helped you so much. I believe your mum is going to help out with the event too which is fantastic.

We have our Just Giving page finalised with some photo’s from a training session and will begin our push for sponsors (http://www.justgiving.com/WVc2cWW). We have written to Keighley News, T&A, YEP and a few other magazines to run a feature on our event.

We are really enjoying the challenge of building up our stamina and fitness to do this event, we are definitely amateur cyclers. Your determination is an inspiration to us has helped us in our training sessions through the gale force winds last month for sure! We hope to do you proud and make you smile, which I think is a great tag line

We would like to thank them all for this.

With regards Tag Rugby we have had 17 expressions of interest for entering a team, if you are still looking to enter and haven't let us know yet, please either email nathantagrugby@gmail.com or contact Mark on 07595337159

If you can help with raffle or tombola prizes we need to hear from you too on the details above..

With regards our survey then we had a positive response for online registration and we have also been negotiation the price of hire of Tag Rugby shorts, we are looking to lower the entry fee to £40 and then shorts will be £2 each is we go with the partnership, this means everyone just needs to find an extra £1 each.

Please remember our Tag Rugby event is a fun family day for all of the family, and we need you all to help us make it a success.

Tag Rugby 2014 Updates

Following our meeting on Thursday night we have the following updates on Tag Rugby 2014.

We now have an event sponsor in place, this is Habasit Rossi Ltd at Silsden, a international conveyor belt manufacturing company, we are still awaiting their logo at the moment. But a massive thank you to them for their support.

With regards the referees kit and match balls, Karl Collins one of our referees from the last 2 years has helped supply these and arranged the following sponsors, but we also have 2 places left on the referees kit for £75 each on each sleeve.

XAMAX are the kit and ball providers with Phoenix Utilities as sponsor of the referees kit, along with  Aqua Sentry as the main advertiser and front of shirt sponsor.

Xamax one of our Referee Kit & Match Balls sponsors & Kit Supplier.
They specialize in supplying your work force with personalized garments to keep your staff looking smart & professional.

And Phoenix Utilities Solutions Dedicated to helping businesses control their electricity, gas and telecoms costs effective.

We have also been approached by Try Tag Rugby about them becoming the official partner for this years event. They have a large foundation in Tag Rugby in the London area and are looking to come to the North of England with their events. This is currently under consideration and discussion, as this would require all our senior teams registering online on there site, and would also require our players wearing Tag Rugby Shorts rather than belts. But is a major plus in recognition for our event.

We now have Face Painters, Sank Van, Sweet Stall and Ginger Bread Stall signed up for the day. Nathan is on with booking the inflatable fun for the day at the moment.

We are looking at running a mixed team event for juniors and seniors together, separate from the main seniors event. We have spoken with Russell at the club and if there is enough interest then this will go ahead.
Please let us know as soon as possible if this appeals to you.

We also need teams for the half time Tug of War, this can be rugby team, groups of friends, or company teams. This is a first for us and we would like to make this a success, so please get in touch with your team of 4, its free to enter and there will be a prize for the winner.

We will also have this years cake stand run by Emily Nicholson and 3 other Venture Scouts who will be running a joint stall, as she is fundraising for herself to be able to go to the Scout World Jamboree in Japan in 2015, more details on this to follow.

As a Trust we are trying to help by putting something back into the community and the charities that have helped and supported Nathan, hence half of this years takings going to the Matt Hampson Foundation along with helping Emily and the Venture Scouts this year.

If anyone has been following the Keighley Rugby Union's Facebook page they will have seen that the first team is currently working on their fancy dress for this years event. Can you do better than them?

Don't forget we need your help on the day too ladies and gentlemen.

If you want to enter any of the events, help in any way, or want further information then please call Mark Dunstan on 07595337159 or email nathantagrugby@gmail.com

Remember our slogan is Make Nathan Smile

Tag Rugby 2014 Sponsors Required

We are still searching for sponsors for this years Tag Rugby, we have had interest from one or two companies, but as yet nothing is signed and with only a limited time before we need to do our major press releases we are on the big push to find between one and four sponsors for the event. We now have a sponsor ship pack that we can send you to look at if you are interested in taking a look. For details contact Mark on 07595337159 or email nathantagrugby@gmail.com and he will be happy to send this to you.

We have managed to find a sponsor for the referees kit for this year and will be announcing who that is very soon, we are just awaiting there logo and company details for the blog.

It is looking like we have a few stalls interested in being at the event, and we are offering pitches at £10 each for these.

Unfortunately last week we also found out that Jason Robinson will not be attending this years event, this is a big disappointment to everyone involved with Nathan and the Trust, but we do understand why this has happened and hope that we will be able to have Jason back with us next year.

We are currently working with Russell at Keighley Rugby Club as it looks like we can have mixed teams with juniors joining their parents in the none contact event. If this is confirmed we will look to run 2 competitions, one for the very serious teams and one for mixed teams. So if you are interested in entering a mixed team then please can you let us know by emailing nathantagrugby@gmail.com and once again Mark will provide you with the up to date details.

Please don't forget that half of this years profits is going to the Matt Hampson Foundation who inspire and help young people seriously injure through sport.
