Tag Rugby 2014 An Amazing Day

The Try Tag Rugby Team In their Referees Kit and Mark Dunstan Event Manager

A big thank you to everyone that attended on Sunday for the Tag Rugby Rugby, despite the terrible weather we raised around £2,800.00 before we pay any outstanding invoices, this will be split between the Trust and Matt Hampson Foundation.

We didn't get to do a lot of our planned fundraising and games on the day, due to the weather and the conditions underfoot.

A big thank you to our event partners who ran the games in some testing conditions weather wise and also to our referee's on the day. I know all our event staff and the partnership staff where soaking by the end of the day, thank you for sticking with it every last one of you.

Here are the results from the day:

21 teams took part in the competition, which was the biggest Nathan Cubitt Tag Rugby Event to date. We hope you enjoyed the event and had a great day of Tag Rugby!

Come on tour to London! 2014 London Tag Rugby Championships – 16th August

It was great to meet you all on Sunday and it would be great to see some of you making the trip to London on the 16th August to take part in the 2014 London Tag Rugby Championships!  The London Tag Rugby Championships is London's marquee Tag Rugby event of the year!  Last year 42 teams registered for the event, making it the UK’s largest one day adult Tag Rugby festival.  It’s a fun day of Tag Rugby (This year’s fancy dress theme = Heroes and Villains!) followed by a massive after party, where the DJ will crank the tunes to get the party going in our onsite beer tent.   There is a competition and playing level to suit all with mixed Champions League, mixed Grade B, mixed Grade C and Men’s competitions.  Registration is now open for team and individual registrations.  For more information including how to register please click
here*EARLY BIRD OFFER* teams registering and paying in full before 9am on 9th June will receive 10% off the normal registration fee!

Only 4 More Days To Tag Rugby

Only 4 days to Tag Rugby 2014 and registration for teams has closed, with the best response ever!!! All teams will get their fixtures in the next couple of days, thank you to everyone of you that has registered. From everyone at the Trust and our event Partners at Try Tag Rugby UK.

We would like to say a massive thank you to our event sponsors Habasit for their kind support of this years event, i'm sure that you all will understand how hard it is each year to get sponsors for events like this. But yet again another company has been kind enough to support us and help with the costs of the event. As have Aquasentry who are the kind sponsors of our referees kit this year.

Once again Mr Colin Farrar of CFBS Ltd who has again donated a prize of £50 for an adult drop kick and £50 for a junior drop kick competition, it costs you £2 to enter and everyone who kicks a drop goal will go in the hat to win the £50.

We would like to welcome you all to join us on Sunday to join us and enjoy some great family fun as well as some great Tag Rugby too.

Teams & Help Required 2 Weeks To Go

We have 2 weeks to go before Tag Rugby and we still have places for teams, either club or workplace teams. We also have 2 teams of 14 - 15 year olds wanting to take part, so we are looking for any junior teams or school teams that would be wishing to enter at short notice. For junior teams we will only charge £20 entry fee for the team and they can be single sex or mixed sex teams. To register for the normal event then please click here Nathan Cubitt Tag Rugby Registration for Junior teams please email nathantagrugby@gmail.com or call Mark Dunstan on 07595337159 and we will give you all the details.

We require stewards and help for the day, if you can spare us an hour or 2 then email or call Mark on the number above.

Next week we will be releasing a list of the stalls that have signed up for the event along with all the family fun we will have on the day, so please remember the event is not just about Rugby, its about you and your family coming and having fun too. If your child has an interest in rugby but hasn't taken that step to join the club or maybe has played Tag Rugby at school then please come along and we will be only too happy to introduce you to the club and the teams and great family atmosphere it offers.

Half of this years takings are being shared with the Matt Hampson Foundation which helps young injured sports men and women, they have been a great support to Nathan and his family over the last 3 years. This year Nathan has decided that it is time to repay them for there support.

We have now had the graffix through for the referees kit from Xamax and would like to say a massive thank you to Tiffany and the guys there for going out of there way to help us.
