Update on Tag Rugby 2014 Sponsors required

Planning going well for Tag Rugby 2014, although we are now on the hunt for sponsors for the event and the referees kit for the day now due to changes in circumstances.

We would like to thank Sian and Jason who have gone out of their way to help us with all the sponsorship for the last 2 years and who have helped us make the event very special for Nathan.

If you have a business that would be interested in being involved with this years event, then please get in touch with us for details of what sponsorship offers and the prices. We can offer lots of publicity for your company both locally and nationally.

As we stated the other week, this years event is both for Nathan's Trust and the Matt Hampson Foundation, this is Nathan's way of giving something back for all the support he has received, and also he is wanting to help raise awareness of all the support there is for injured sports men and women through the foundation.

We have bouncy fun booked now for the day which is looking very good indeed, along with face painting and lunch time dance group. If you have a small business that would like to run a stall please get in touch, as we have spaces for you too, at a cost of £10 and then it is up to you on the day if you would like to make a further donation.

Support Mixed Ability Rugby

We are always proud to offer our support to the Bradford & Bingley Bumbles as they always support our Tag Rugby. Please show your support for the following match.

The Bumbles are proud to announce the Fourth Annual H-bomb Trophy game will take place at the Bradford and Bingley Sports Club on Sunday 9th March 2014 with an 11am Kick Off.

The Bumble Bee Barbarians will take on the well established Llanelli Warriors in a competitive full contact Mixed Ability Rugby match with both sides fielding players with and without disabilities.

Historically clashes between  the two teams have been bruising encounters with large crowds cheering on the home sides. Last year saw the Warriors lift the trophy on home turf.

The Bumble Bees hope to match or beat that Welsh crowd and  welcome spectators from across our region to join them on the morning of the game. Entry is free, the bar will be open with food available and in the afternoon the 'other' England V Wales game will be on the big screens at the club.

Alongside the pitch will be local dignitaries, representatives of the European rugby governing bodies, as well as observers from Ireland, Scotland, France and Italy who are looking to role out the Mixed Ability Model in their own countries.
Bumbles International Co-ordinator Martino Corazza has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to link European Representatives in preparation for the first ever European Tournament in 2015 here in West Yorkshire.

TAG RUGBY 2014!!

Ok then guys, after the meeting last Thursday about all the Tag Rugby i have a few lists of ideas in which i want to put to you all.
firstly this years tag and all future events are no longer about raising money for me and my trust from now on we are going to focus on raising awareness for all spinal injuries and the risks and ongoing issues for spinal injuries patients!  We have now had confirmation that the Matt Hampson Foundation are ok with us doing this as a joint event with proceeds going to the Trust and the Foundation Jointly. In the words of Tommy Cawston the Chief Executive of the Matt Hampson Foundation "this says a lot about Nathan, that he has decided to do this".
We are also focusing on getting more support for the club!

So there is always people around and now we have more going on then we hope to increase this. We need to know soon so we can plan the site and also put your details on the blog and website too.
We are looking for businesses to advertise in the event program with prices starting at £5.00 for a basic small 2 line advert, up to £20 for a full page advert.
Why not challenge your company to enter a team (if we have enough we will run a local company cup), challenge your teachers, your 6th form pupils (if we get enough we will have a 6th form schools cup) to enter. We need to know if you are a Company or 6th form team before the day so we can enter you in the same group and run your cup at group stage.
For all of the above you can email the team on nathantagrugby@gmail.com or call Mark on 07595337159.

Meeting

Hope you've all had a great Christmas and are ready for the New Year celebrations.

Just wanted to let everyone know that there is a meeting at Keighley Rugby Union Club on the 16th January 2014 for the Tag Rugby, from 7pm onwards.

Just to let you all know that tag rugby planning is now underway and as the majority of you have been with us or the past two years in supporting my events I would like to firstly thank you all so much! And secondly invite you to a meeting, as this year we would like more input from you as what you think will work for 2014 :). This years tag rugby is aiming to be based purely on organising a fantastic event for everyone to enjoy! Whilst also raising awareness of spinal injuries in general. We are hoping to gain the support of the Matt Hampson foundation as well!

We would like to invite anyone who has ideas or would like to have some input on the event to this meeting, the more new ideas we have the better.

Please Help My Club

A little bit of a different update this time, while Nathan is flying away to Florida for a well deserved family holiday after 2 years of life and house being turned upside down for him and all his family, he has asked if we can try and help the first team out at his club Keighley Rugby Union Club who are having a rough season with injuries and players having work commitments.

If you would be interested in playing Rugby Union and live local then please pop down and have a chat with the guys at Keighley, they will welcome you as they do to everyone who has been involved with helping Nathan and his Trust.

As Nathan says had he not suffered his injury he would have been inline for for being a 1st team prop this year, and it would be great if followers and supporters of his blog or twitter feed could help out his club who have supported him through his injury.

For more details on the club please click here to visit their Pitchero page Keighley Rugby Union Club
