1 Week to bike ride

Well with one week to the bike ride we will be confirming the hotel later today, Sue is just awaiting the manager confirming with her, but its looking like the Holiday Inn Express at Burnley.


We will be heading for the Elaine Morris Sports Centre as not sure the residents will enjoy being woken by a 22 seat coach if we drive that on to the estate by the canal basin. And this is just a 2 minute cycle ride around to the start, were we can drive Nathan directly too. I will be planning in were we can meet the guys and girls during the day so they don't have to carry too much and also so we can feed them.

Online giving will be available ASAP I promise just a minor issue on PayPal but we will get this sorted before the ride. Fingers crossed the weather is going to be kind to the riders too, but if not it will be hot drinks at stops for them all.

Well another busy week with the ball and the bike ride.

We have another table sponsor Isabella Grace a very worthy cause who are coming on board for the event, and I know Sian from Hardcore Personal Training is support along with Nathans Trust when she runs the London Marathon. we are all looking forward to meeting Ryan And Lyndsey and seeing what we can help them with in return for their support.

We had a scare during the week when the DJ pulled out, but looks like we now have this covered, thank you to all of those who helped.

Jason Confirms

After speaking with the legend Jason Robinson last night I can now confirm that he will be attending the ball on the 14th September. Another massive thank you to Jason for his support of our event.

We are on a mission at the moment for a Bow Tie in club colours and may have found one.

We have been putting out an urgent request today for a Disco/DJ after ours has had to pull out after blowing up his amp and laptop.

We are still looking for a supplier of cloth for the Napkin type Bibs, as we have the kind staff at RRS waiting to make these for us.

Don't forget too we have the 2 pairs of Top Gear tickets for auction on the night and we intend to do this through a stand up auction. For those of you who have not taken part in one of these before, we start with everyone putting £2 in and each round you all put another £2 in the pot until you want to drop out, the last 2 people standing win the tickets.

The car is nearly ready. Only 2 Weeks to go before they head off too.

4 pals, 4 countries, 1,500 miles and one 16 year old banger worth £325. Our challenge is to complete the Sucata run. Nathan's challenge is much greater so please support us!
Their theme is Batman and the car will be the Batmobile, not sure how a Volvo estate becomes a batmobile but we will await the photos.

An Amazing Week

What an amazing week its been again for us involved in Nathan's Trust, after being told he needed to have another operation last week.

We now have a sponsor for the Inner Tubes and Puncture Kits for the Liverpool to Leeds Big Bike Ride, thanks to Rob Collins, who has kindly offered to sponsor these. Thank you Rob from everyone involved in the Trust and the Bike Ride, this will make an amazing difference.

We  also have had it confirmed that Nathan's Trust will be one of the charities to benefit from a cross code challenge match at Ilkley Rugby Union Club on Friday 24th August, kick off at 7:30 against the Burley Lions Rugby League Team. We have also had it confirmed that at least one member of the Keighley team will be going over to play for Ilkley too. So if your free please go over and show your support, the bar opens at 6:30pm (I know that was the first question you all wanted to ask), kick off is 7pm and it is one half Union rules one half League rules.

We also have our second table sponsor which is Nettys Cakes , lovely cakes of all designs and another great sponsor for us, a big thank you to Jeanette for this.

I will do individual updates in more depth for each one tomorrow but with things changing so fast thought I would do a quick update page.

Big Bike Ride

Well Matthew (Nathans Dad) and Billy (Nathans 13yr old brother) have been out for a training ride today and done an amazing 34miles in 2.5hrs, that's some going guys!!

I know Anna is struggling with her bike, the one she has borrowed seems to be stuck in 1 gear, so if anyone can help we would be grateful.

We are still looking for a sponsor to help with inner tubes and T shirts, but despite emailing over 20 bike related businesses I have had no feedback at all :( . If there is anyone out there that can help, we need at least 10 inner tubes, the same again in puncture repair kits, and we would love to have event T Shirts with the Trust and your business on.
